Exploring the Seasonality and Environmental Influences on COVID-19 Incidence in Benin: A Comprehensive Study
Summary
Abstract: This study explores the seasonality and environmental factors influencing COVID-19 incidence in Benin from March 1, 2020, to February 28, 2022. Leveraging statistical methods and Python programming, we analyze temporal patterns of COVID-19 cases and meteorological variables. Descriptive analysis includes normality assessment and appropriate statistical measures for variable description. Univariate and multivariate analyses investigate associations between COVID-19 incidence and meteorological parameters using Spearman's rank correlation and ordinary least squares regression. Data collection has been completed, and funding will support comprehensive analysis using specialized data analysis software. This research aims to provide insights into the seasonal dynamics and environmental influences on COVID-19 transmission in Benin, informing targeted interventions and public health strategies.
